Dr. Gregory Echt, M.D.

“It is an exciting time in cancer care, as developments continue to be made in diagnosis and treatment. As researchers break new ground, they offer comfort and hope to the millions affected with cancer. We are proud to be on the front lines, providing our patients with the best that science has to offer. It is the honor and privilege of our team to provide the highest level of cancer care possible.”~ Dr. Gregory Echt

Southlake Oncology is a part of Choice Cancer Care, founded by Dr. Gregory Echt, a board-certified radiation oncologist, having a longstanding reputation for providing excellence in cancer care. His understanding of caring for patients began at an early age as the son of a midwest physician. Later, he shaped his own philosophy of care throughout his pursuit of his bachelor’s degree and medical degree from Indiana University and his internship and residency at Los Angeles County – University of Southern California.

After completing his residency, Dr. Echt moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area where he opened his own radiation oncology practice. Today, with over 20 years of experience treating people with cancer, Dr. Echt has earned national recognition for his treatment of prostate cancer, including his continued research into brachytherapy. Dr. Echt’s practice has now blossomed into Choice Cancer Care – a group of state-of-the-art facilities located throughout North Texas where cancer patients and their families can have access to exceptional, compassionate, respectful cancer care that treats the whole patient.

Dr. Echt sees his patients at a variety of Choice Cancer Care Centers including the Cancer Center at Wise Regional, Las Colinas Cancer Center, and the Prostate Seed Institute, as well as performing prostate seed implants at a variety of private North Texas surgery centers.

Also, as co-founder and chairman of the board for the Sandler-Kenner Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for pancreatic cancer research, Dr. Echt is able to provide his expertise and support for raising awareness of this difficult to diagnose disease.

Dr. Echt continues to live in Dallas near the Choice Cancer Care facilities. He, along with his wife Susan and their two children, is a proud member of the Congregetion Shearith Israel. In his free time, Dr. Echt enjoys a variety of music and sports, with a longstanding loyalty to the Indianapolis Colts, the team of his childhood.
